Summer Circus Workshop!

Who’s booked in for our sellout summer workshop?

For the 16th Year, we are offering your young people the opportunity to come along to JAPA HQ for three whole days, learn from the industries finest and perform in a showcase! How amazing is that?

The original Summer workshop was in August 2006. We were lucky enough to have Jo Power- who had just appeared as a finalist on “Grease is the word” the ITV programme to find the next Danny & Sandy & Spike Grimsey- who had just finished in “Joseph and the technicoloured Dreamcoat” in London’s west end had had commenced a contract in “Les Mis.” What a team!

Since then, we have have the most amazing team of teachers and our students have learned everything from stage make up, to Prop work, audition technique, to singing technique, building friendships that have lasted well in the the years.

It really is the best week of the year.

Our students love to be in our studios with their friends, learning many (many!) different routines and trying new styles. The team we employ always have the most amazing time and ask to come back year after year.

This year, we are so excited to introduce Laura Salazar. Laura is a Dancer, performer, choreographer, acrobat, dance caption but to name a few! She has been travelling the world with many different circus’ how amazing!

We are also lucky that Laura is our resident adult tap teacher- a few of our younger students will have met her on a Monday too!

Laura trained here at JA, continuing her education with Miss Gem at Colchester Institute and then off she went to  Creative Academy to continue into Higher Education.

Miss Gem will head up the team, welcoming Miss Laura and welcoming back our Miss Ashleigh.
