December blog!

And in a blink of an eye…. Another year is nearly done! 

As we look forward to a little more of a normal Christmas this year- at last- we have been reflecting on what we know has been the most amazing years here at JA! 

We threw ourselves into show term in January, by May we had performed our (on our personal opinion!) our most successful show to date! 

We feel this one meant a little more, due to the restrictions over the past few years and we savoured every single second. 

We then moved on to performances at festivals, theatres and events around Suffolk & Essex, making memories and showing how incredible our team is.

We have introduced acro and adult jazz and even a brand new adult tap class so we can squeeze everyone in and obviously, there was our annual sell out summer workshop! 

Exam work and assessments are now in full swing, our students are working incredible hard behind the scenes- without exam preparation and exams, we wouldn’t be able to produce the standard of performance work we do! 

We have crammed so much more into this year, but these were some of our favourites! 

You may have caught our Showcase 2022- this is a yearly showcase for our Dram, Hip Hop & Musical Theatre students that we hold each year. We use the most beautiful, festive venue- Colchester Arts Centre and this year, we managed to produce 16 pieces ranging from renditions of Christmas songs to Hip Hop remixes! 

We want to thank each and every family that entrusts us with your children and all of our wonderful adult learners too, for making our job so fun, rewarding and exciting! 

A big Thank you to Miss Jackie, Miss Laura & Miss Shakia for working super hard all year, we are looking forward to sharing 2023 together! 

Have a wonderful December and we cannot WAIT to run into 2023 and create even more amazing memories with you all!
