Our achievements!
We have now (we can’t believe we are writing this) completed our exam sessions!!
Things were a little different this year, we used the ISTD’s online platform to film, upload & submit each exam, so we are even more impressed by how each student adapted to this.
We entered students for their Ballet, Tap & Modern exams &- as we mentioned in our previous blog- it’s been a bit of a journey!
We have always had a 100% pass rate at JA Performing Arts & are pleased to say…. this has continued!! Every single student passed with flying colours. Our students really did work so hard & got the most fantastic results!
Our Ballet exams were our most recent set. The students get to work with a pianist & it’s such a wonderful experience! Working with a live musician really encourages a performer to use their musicality & performance & everyone really did do this beautifully.
And now we are going to show off… each and every Ballet student that was entered gained a DISTINCTION!
We can’t say we were too surprised, we had all worked so so hard and everyone looked gorgeous on the day! So well done to you all, what an accolade.
We have now moved on to focus on performance opportunities since we have finally drawn a line under the most recent exams!
We were asked to perform at Clacton’s “Bounceback festival” & were super excited! Pleased to say, the rain stayed away and we had lots of beautiful sunshine for our performance! We were just so excited to perform for the first time over 16 months! We performed two commercial routines & a joint Lyrical from our Pre Senior & Senior Jazz Tech students.
We have also been keeping a little bit of a secret… in October, some of our students will be performing in the West End! We have been invited to Perform and will be taking some of our Jazz & Ballet students & performing two fresh new routines- we couldn’t be more excited!
Our Adult learners are OFFICIALLY back in the studio, it’s amazing to feel the atmosphere of being back together! We are so pleased you guys are back doing what you love!
We have had two very successful “bring a friend weeks” where selected groups are allowed to bring one of their friends to the studio. It’s just a little thank you to our amazing children, they’ve loved showing their corner of the Performing Arts industry and we have met some lovely new friends!
We were approached by the team at “The House” in Weeley to supply some performers for their latest trail in the woods. We were cast, rehearsed, costumed & performing within three days, which is a huge accomplishment even for professional performers! We had fantastic feedback about how lovely the girls were & how talented & professional they are. Our Freya (AKA Dorothy) even made one lady shed a tear with her rendition of “somewhere over the rainbow.” Well done girls! You can check out our Instagram or Facebook pages to see some pictures!
This year is flying by, we have all achieved so much already, let’s keep doing what we do best and make the most of summer term!
Any questions on the classes we offer, feel free to pop us a message – we would love to hear from you!
